My Current Skincare Routine

While I’m blessed with good genes in the skin department (thanks mom), I have been very diligent with my skincare, making sure I have the right balance of hydration and exfoliation.  I’ve noticed a difference by keeping consistent and by wearing more sunscreen and less makeup.

I keep my morning skincare routine (below) pretty much the same year-round.

AM Routine

During the winter, I add Retinol into my evening routine. My skin is very sensitive and I find using it 3 – 4 days a week works best for me. On the other nights I use Glycolic Brightening Renew Overnight

 Additional tips:

  • Whenever I feel like I need a little extra hydration, I use the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. I also love using this mask on the mornings after retinol. I leave it on for 10 mins and then wipe it off and continue with the rest of my products

  • I stop using retinol a few days before I get my face threaded so it’s not as sensitive (trust me!) and the Phyto Corrective Masque is great for redness and discomfort after

  • If I’m doing an intense workout out later in the morning, I will wash my face and put on sunscreen and then do a full skincare routine after my workout

  • I know it’s not always feasible or accessible, but I try go for a facial once a quarter. My 3 go to’s are Project Skin for a Bela MD Facial, GWEN Skin Lab (she comes to you!) and the Hydrate & Glow Facial at Formula Fig.

I’ve linked where I usually buy my products in Vancouver, but you can easily find other clinic options or check out the Skinceuticals website directly.

Let me know if you have any products you love and recommend.
